It began with someone else's money.
My first trading course wasn't bought with my own savings. It was paid for by a childhood friend who believed in me — at a time when I couldn't believe in myself.
I had ₹5,000. I opened a Demat account, bought HDFC Bank shares, and thought I was a trader. I wasn't. I was a beginner with no idea what I was doing — and I was about to find out the hard way.
Everyone tells you trading is the path to freedom. Nobody tells you it first takes everything from you.
The Losses: I did every wrong thing.
I moved from stocks to intraday. Then from intraday to BankNifty options with ₹50,000 borrowed from my father. I had no system. No risk management. Just greed and hope — a deadly combination.
The Mistakes That Cost Me Everything:
- Chasing "Zero to Hero" trades with no plan.
- Overtrading after every loss, trying to recover.
- No stop losses. No position sizing. Pure emotion.
- Borrowing money to trade — again, and again, and again.
Sometimes I made money. But I always lost more than I earned. And slowly, it was all gone — the capital, the confidence, the belief that I could do this.
The cruelest part of losing everything? You finally start seeing the market clearly — but you have nothing left to trade with. I had no money. EMIs pending. I couldn't even ask my family. I had already lost the money they thought was going toward my MBA.
The Rebuild: Getting a job.
So I did the only thing I could. I got a job. Not because I wanted to. Because I needed capital to come back. I worked. I saved. I controlled every expense. I prepared quietly for a second chance — and this time, I promised myself I would not waste it.
When I returned to the markets, my entire mindset had changed. I wasn't coming to make money. I was coming to protect it.
What Changed The Second Time:
- Strict risk management — every single trade.
- Plan before execution. Never the other way around.
- Consistent small profits over chasing big wins.
- Moved into option selling — where real consistency lives.
The Breakthrough: Consistency & Forex
By 2023, I was consistently profitable in Indian markets — with small capital, but growing. Then I discovered Forex trading, and everything clicked.
No gap-ups. No shock events. Just clean price action. My patience and discipline — skills built through years of painful lessons — finally had a market that rewarded them.
I passed multiple funded accounts. I grew small accounts aggressively and consistently. Not by luck — by a repeatable system with iron-clad risk control. $1,000 turned into $14,000.
